Description
1952 release. 1st edition red/gold label ( no stereo). Orchestrated by Rimsky Korsakov. Boris Christoff/Eugenia Zareska /Nicolai Gerdda and Russian Chorus of Paris. Issay Dobrowen conducting Orchestre National del la Radiodiffusion Francais. In EXCELLENT condition. Little if any surface noise and no audible faults on Records 2, 3 and 4 except for two clicks on Side 8.
Record 1 , Side 1 there is 5-10 seconds of heightened surface noise at the beginning which then settles to a quiet playing surface, and occasional faint tick ( < 5 ) on this side and a couple of clicks. Side 2 - some light surface noise /static noticable in some quiet passages.
Sung in Russian.
Box - EXCELLENT, clean and sound. Slight lift of laminate ( about 8 cms) along front opening edge but this does not extend more than 0.5 cms into the front of box (see image). Also the remnants of golden sticky tape which extends for 5 cms along the bottom of the front - see image.Comes with two original booklets, both in EXCELLENT condition. A 36 page libretto in Russian and English and an 8 page booklet with notes about this particular performance.

- Your record(s) will be posted in a strong cardboard protective mailer + stiffeners that will ensure that they safely arrive in perfect condition.
- Box sets in special cruciform mailers.
- Your record(s) will be posted within 24 hours of payment.
- I only accept paypal.
- Returns policy - If you are not entirely satisfied with the product, then the full cost of the item will be refunded on return to me in appropriate packaging ( not postage).
