MoveOriginal UK 1st Press LP released in 1968 on the Red & Silver Regal Zonophone label with “Sold in the U.K.” text on label. Cat: LRZ 1002. THis album is in MONO.
The Move's self-titled first album capped an 18-month string of classic singles, all included on this greatly expanded and lovingly remastered reissue. Formed in Birmingham in the mid-'60s, the Move quickly became one of England's most interesting, and at times controversial, bands. While its onstage antics and publicity stunts garnered it much press attention, the band's often-brilliant music was sometimes lost in the shuffle. Leader Roy Wood's uncanny ability to meld classical, cabaret, psychedelic, and '50s rock influences with a Beatlesque knack for catchy pop songs results in such psych-pop classics as "Flowers in the Rain,” “(Here we go round) the lemon tree” & “Yellow rainbow". Even an oddity like a whacked-out cover of "Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart," with sepulchral vocals by drummer Bev Bevan is a delight. THE MOVE is an indispensable '60s pop album.

Record has some light scuff marks and one light scratch which runs from the last quarter of track one side two through three quarters of the second track. This scratch produces light pops during this section but overall sound is still quite decent (Record does not jump at all). Side one plays with only minor crackles. Gloss cover with back flaps has a crease mark on bottom right corner, scuffing on corners and a 2cm seam split on centre of spine. There are also some tiny surface tears around edges. Cover is in VG condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.

Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
