Description

The soft drink Moxie, is a name probably not too familiar unless you live in Northeastern New England, and the state of Maine in particular. At one time Moxie outsold both Pepsi & Coke! The Maine State Legislature recently voted Moxie as the Official State Soft Drink. Lisbon Falls, Maine holds an annual Moxie Festival (scheduled for early July) in which the whole town virtually shuts down. Moxie has been continually on the market since its invention in Union, Maine, back in 1876. Today, it even puts forth a diet version, which guys like me drink to keep my youthful figure!  Both sides of this red shellac 78rpm Vocalion 14250 record are entitled "Moxie." Side A has the Shannon Four singing the virtues of drinking Moxie, while the B side is by the Aeolian Dance Orchestra who play a snappy version of the Moxie tune. It is in V+ condition.
