Description
Legendary recording from 1963. I have owned this delta blues classic from new. It is one of the Original Masters Anadisq 200 series from Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs, released in 1994. It has limited edition number 12626. It is complete with MFSL card and inner sleeve. The atmospheric acoustic ambience made this album a hi-fi reviewers favourite in the 1990s.
CONDITION
I use the Record Collector grading categories and have play graded the vinyl on a Linn LP12. My records have been stored in a pet free, smoke free home.
Sleeve: Near Mint
The sleeve is close to mint. It has been protected by a plastic cover from new and shows no sign of wear - there is no edge, spine or ring wear and barely any creasing, just a tiny crease at the bottom right corner (see pictures). There are no splits, tears, stains or writing on the sleeve. The original rice paper inner is included – this has creasing but no tears. The original Master Recording/Anadisq 200 card wallet promotional inner is excellent.
Vinyl: Excellent+
There are virtually no visible spindle marks. The record has had very few plays and looks and sounds as it did new. The pressing came with a few light ticks but there are no repeat clicks, sticks or skips. As usual with MFSL releases the vinyl is virtually silent in the run in/out grooves and between tracks, with just an occasional hint of crackle.
POSTAGE AND PACKAGING
The record will be packed in a record mailer with stiffener and posted 2nd class signed for. I remove all records from outer and printed inner sleeves before packing to avoid damage to covers during transit. All albums are dispatched in polythene sleeves.
I am not a dealer but have been buying records for over 40 years and have decided to let go of some records in the interest of ‘downsizing’.
