Folk Singer

12" Vinyl LP

Pye Records

Original Mono UK Pressing

Catalogue Number : NPL 28038

Mono

Laminated Sleeve

A really very nice Original 12" vinyl release of this rare Blues LP on the Pye Record label and in great condition throughout.

Vinyl is in NM condition and looks hardly played, if at all. (close to Mint)This vinyl still carries a beautiful sheen and deep gloss. The original labels are excellent. There is no spindle wear, surface wear, dirt or warps. A very clean record in 'as new' condition.

The part laminated sleeve is graded Excellent. The laminate is excellent, one small crease (nr. Muddy's mouth top right pic) otherwise it is without blemish (rare on these sleeves). The rear of the sleeve is clean and in great shape with a few minor age spots. In pencil there is a 14/11 price (you can rub it out if you like - Ihave not tried) The colours on the sleeve are superb, bold and strong. The spine is straight and the text is readable. Very Nice !

A genuine and collectable CLASSIC BLUES LP from the UK, in general Excellent condition.

It is not very often that I see collections that are this good and in such great condition so please check my other auctions for many more classic original UK and US Jazz and Blues records from this large and well looked after collection.

I have tried to give a clear picture of the vinyl and sleeve using description and pictures, if you require any more information please contact me with any questions that you may have.

I use the UK record collector grading guide as detailed below.

Records are visually graded unless stated as play graded

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

As well as the above grades, Near Mint is often used as well; this is really for a record that appears new but is known to have been played because the label has light spindle marks or because it has come from a previous owner and is assumed to have been played by them. For records which appear to fall between the accepted grades, + and - are also often added to the grading.
