Description

No.27 from 4th September 1965 with Sonny & Cher and the Walker Brothers on the front page, this piece of pop history features pictures and/or articles on the Rolling Stones/Beatles meet Elvis/Andrew Oldham column/Roger Gale column/Walker Brothers/Searchers/Dusty Springfield/Sonny & Cher and smaller articles and/or pics of the Kinks/Billy Fury/Donovan as well as dozens of other pieces of interesting pop news of the day. Half of the back page is devoted to Mersey Beat with small pics of the Roadrunners/Hillsiders/Terry Erikson.  Also has record reviews and a small letters section and the British Hit 100 singles(Must be the first mag to do this), US Hit 100 and the Hit 50 LP's. It only has 12 pages but is quite large measuring 17" x 11", and  is one of thousands I bought new in the 60's. They've been in my loft and untouched for over 25 years. Apart from a 2" tear on the opening edge on the back page, is in excellent condition although it's slightly browned with age. Superb condition for a 42 year old mag. I would imagine that most of these would have been thrown out over the years, making this and others I have quite rare. If you have any questions/need more detail etc, don't hesitate to ask.
