Music Machine (1965–1969) anticipated punk by almost 10 years. They are the direct musical ancestors of the Stooges and visually they pre-date the Ramones with their all-black outfits, long dyed black hair, shades and a single black glove each. They an American psychedelic garage rock band, headed by singer-songwriter Sean Bonniwell and based in Los Angeles. The band's sound was defined by fuzz guitar, plenty of distortion and a Farfisa organ.
Their debut album,’ (Turn On) The Music Machine’, was released in 1966 on the US Original Sound label. Seven of the twelve tracks were originals, written by Bonniwell. One of these, "Talk Talk", became a Top 20 US hit, but although influential this single was not a major commercial success in the UK. However it was included in the expanded ‘Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, 1965-1968’ box set compilation, where it has cemented the band’s place at the core of the psych pantheon.
A genuine classic and an absolute must for psych collectors.

I've owned this single from new since it was given to me amongst a box of promotion copies of singles in 1967. I was always a bit of a hi-fi nut so I can absolutely vouch for the fact that it's been well looked after and played on reasonable equipment - probably only played half a dozen times. It comes in the original Pye sleeve.
I'm not familiar with the conventions for grading the condition. However as you can see from the pictures the sleeve is clean and in good condition with no writing or pen or pencil marks, and has no other significant marks or tears.
The record itself has no visible blemishes at all that I can see. The label is clean and virtually unmarked, once again with no writing, pen or pencil marks. The centre is intact and the spindle hole is perfect. The playing surface has no visible scratches and looks as good as new. The reproduction quality is about as good as it got from a 1967 vinyl single pressing - it's never going to be CD quality, but pretty good nevertheless. There's no audible scratches or crackles other than the usual surface noise that you'd get with any new vinyl record. The lead in and play out grooves are clean and glitch-free.
I believe this is as close as you'll get to a mint condition original copy of this very rare single. This record was not a UK hit so demos and stock copies will be very hard to find.
