Description

I think I have something special here. It is a Radio Station Copy of the Mutual Broadcasting System Broadcast of the National Symphony Orchestra From October 9, 1983. The Set includes the Voice-over Script that the station was supposed to use as well as an unfilled out Clearance Report that the Traffic Director was supposed to send in with details of the the concert was broadcast. There are 3 Discs in the set each containing 1/2 hour of the broadcast.
The Music played was:

  • Beethoven Overture to ST Stephen OP.117
  • Beethoven Piano Concerto #1 in C major Op. 15
  • Beethoven Symphony #6 in F opus # 68 Pastoral
The Orchestra was conducted By Gerrard Schwartz, The pianist was Lillian Nalloir, The Narrator for the broadcast was Paul Teare. The Musical Director was Mstislav Rostropovich
