Mylène Farmer (pronounced: [mil?n fa?mœ?]; born Mylène Jeanne Gautier;[1] [mil?n ?an ?otje]; born 12 September 1961) is a French recording artist, songwriter, occasional actress, writer and entrepreneur. She was born in Pierrefonds, Quebec, but brought up in France.
She has sold more than 30 million records in France[2] and is among the most successful recording artists of all time in France.[3] She holds the record for the most number one hits in the French charts, with thirteen to date – eight of which were consecutive.[4] Her best-known songs include "Désenchantée", "Pourvu qu'elles soient douces", "Sans contrefaçon", "Libertine","California", "XXL", "C'est une belle journée", "Rêver", "Les Mots" and "Oui mais... non".

L'Autre... is the third studio album by Mylène Farmer, released on April 9, 1991. It contains the singer's biggest hit, "Désenchantée", which was number-one in France for nine weeks, and other three top ten hits. The album was generally well received by the critics and was a great success in terms of chart and sales (#1 for twenty weeks), becoming the best-selling album throughout the singer's career and the third best-selling album of all time in France.
