Description

Mystic Eyes Mysterious LP BURNING SOUNDS ca. 1979

Rare and killer LP from the underrated trio Mystic Eyes, produced by Linval Thompson and recorded at Channel One with backing by the Revolutionaries. These excellent riddims turn up on other Linval-produced sets of the era, including Ranking Dread Girls Fiesta, Trinity Rock in the Ghetto and the mighty Outlaw Dub.

This copy has been in my personal collection for around 15 years, played sparingly and well cared-for.

The vinyl* is graded M-/VG++ , glossy with only a few paper scuffs. The labels are bright with no writing or markings. The sleeve is in VG condition, with some bumps at the corners but no tears, splits or writing. Overall a beautiful copy of this rare gem.

*Note on the mix. If you're familiar with this LP, you may have heard about the vocal mix. It is at times a bit muddy and even distorted. This is a result of the original tapes and not the condition of the LP. The instrumental mix is overall excellent.

Shipping rates are $4 Media Mail domestic, $15 for international airmail. Returns accepted within 14 days of auction ending (notification within 3 days of delivery required). Return shipping will NOT be refunded. International buyers will pay an additional $11.50 for registered mail on transactions over $50.
