Notes : all compositions by Mario Nascimbene. Orchestra conducted by Roberto Pregadio. 9 tunes ranging over various kinds of jazz. Latin & Afro rhythms well fused with jazz such as " CARNEVALE A RIO ", " AFRO CUBAN STAYL " and the exciting " MAMBO DEL MARE ", all on overall percussive tapestry; romantic jazz and blues such as " BLUES DEL TRAMONTO ", " CLASSIC BEGUINE ", " IL MIO AMORE IN BLUES " and " SLOW BLUES ", modernized dixie on " INTIMO DI DIXIELAND ", almost free on " ROCK IN JAZZ ". The other 3 tunes - " CANZONE PER BELLINDA ", " VALZER DELLA SPIAGGIA " and " VALZER DEL PRIMO AMORE " featuring romantic atmospheres, were composed by Nascimbene for the theatrical musical fable " BELLINDA E IL MOSTRO ", performed in Italy in 1967.

The line-up features some great Italian jazzmen. Among the others : Nino Culasso, trumpet, Baldo Maestri, alto sax, Mario Midana, trombone, Peppe Carta, double-bass, Bruno Battisti D'Amario, guitar, Roberto Zappulla, drums, Franco Chiari, vibraphone and percussions.
