Italian pressing, Meridiana SMR 502 (~1968)

Top rare Italian library on the private label Meridiana. Music by Mario Nascimbene directed by Roberto Pregadio and played by Mr.Pregadio himself at the piano with his jazz group: Beppe Carta (bass), Roberto Zappulla (drums), Franco Chiari (vibes) and Bruno Battisti D'Amario (guitar). Includes the superb modern jazz quartet BABY SWING and the Piero Piccioni style vibes jazz SUONO E VELLUTO. Killer spaghetti western twangy beat on ALLEGRA ESTATE and on VIAGGIO DI PIACERE (with Pregadio at the Organ). More beautiful dusty nightclub jazz on BLUES DELLA NOTTE, RITMICO SWING and OMAGGIO A SHEARING. TEMPO DI VACANZE and SURF SERVICE just sound like they were taken from Piero Piccioni's 'Il Boom' soundtrack! Listen, rare!
