MOUNTAIN CLOSE ENOUGH FOR ROCK 'N' ROLL
Label : Mountain Cat No : TOPS 109 Issue : UK 1st Press
Matrix : TOPS 109 A-2U / B-2U
This is the UK 1st Press of Close Enough For Rock N Roll by Nazareth. This earliest press has the A-2U/B-2U matrix, the heavy original 70's vinyl and the original printed card inner sleeve. The vinyl is complete with the 1st press Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. Both sides have the most sensational mirrored gloss, there are no signs of heavy play or any wear to the grooves at all. There are just a couple of very light wispy hairlines, but these are insignificant, every track gleams. The original colourful labels are exceptionally bright and completely clean. The colour is solid and unworn, the text is sharp and there is just the slightest spindle wear.
The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and the sound is exceptionally rich and warm. Just a few moments of very light background noise but certainly nothing that spoils the enjoyment of this album at any point. Superb clarity and audio separation from start to finish.
The sleeve is in Excellent condition. The image is sharp, the text is clear and the inside is like new. There is just the very slightest corner wear, but this is pretty insignificant, the edges are extremely firm and the whole sleeve is solid.
