Description
NAZARETH - HAIR OF THE DOG ORIGINAL MOONCREST FIRST PRESS A2U/B1U MATRIX - 1G?/1GT STAMPERS Year:1975 Cat: CREST 27
- On offer here is a superb first press from an underated band who's early Mooncrest records are becoming increasingly collectable.
- The unlaminated James Upton sleeve is immaculate with virtually no signs of wear - just a touch of rubbing to the sleve opening corners. Both top and bottom edges are unworn as is the spine which has not been flattened. The sleeve opening is crisp with no feathering. Overall graded EX+
- The cardboard picture inner with Mooncrest logo has no signs of wear at all! Graded EX+.
- These Mooncrest pressings have a lovely sheen and this is no exception. Under strong light side Side 1 has one hairline and Side 2 has one very light mark and a couple hairlines, none of which affect play. Visually graded EX+. The Mooncrest labels are beautifully clear with just a few light spindle trails. When played the disc has great dynamic range and presence with no noise apart from a slight static in the beginning of delicate track 3. Playgraded EX+.
- The photos should show enough detail but please contact me if any more information is needed.

My records are graded in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows:
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
+ or - indicates a grading in between categories
