Condition:
Sleeve: The front laminated flip back sleeve printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd (Patent no. 943,895) is in excellent condition with very minimal ring and shelf wear for it's age. A little creasing to the top front, nothing too distracting. The colours are still strong and vibrant with no fading, staining etc. There is no writing or marking to the outside and the unlaminated rear is in a crisp and clear white condition. The spine is also in an excellent condition with no crushing or wear. The opening carries very minimal feathering. A persons name is neatly hand written on the inside.
Labels: Both original VERVE labels are in an excellent condition with no tearing and absolute minimal spindle marking, retaining their rich silver and black colouring with totally clear, crisp printing. Only a persons name neatly hand written lightly in the centre of both labels (See photos) but this is hardly noticeable.
Vinyl: The vinyl is in excellent condition with barely any scuff marks whatsoever, truly outstanding. I have played this album on my THORENS TD 160 B Mk II and I can only describe the playback as being truly wonderful. I could not hear any surface noise whatsoever throughout the whole album, a real joy to listen to. When you are in a laid back mood this album truly fits the bill.
Comments: This is a fantastic rare opportunity to bid on a very rare and sought after 1969 ORIGINAL MONO VERVE first pressing of - THE NEW JAZZ ORCHESTRA - "LE DEJEUNER SUR L'HERB".
Packing Procedures. The vinyl will be packed in a purpose made strong corrugated cardboard crucifix box. To avoid any unnecessary seam splits to the outer sleeve, the vinyl is taken out and sandwiched in its inner sleeve between oversized corrugated cardboard. In some cases, I may add extra protection. I aim to dispatch the same day as payment is received.
