Description

"Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere"...


I have USA copies of all his first 3 albums listed so have a look..I can combine post!


His second album issued in a gatefold sleeve (the UK version only had a single sleeve!)...Both labels on this copy are tan coloured which suggest that is a later pressing (no later than early 70's..71?).



Originally issued in 1969...RS 6349...USA pressing in a non laminated gatefold sleeve...Complete with company advertising inner sleeve..


The matrix numbers are as follows...


Side 1:...30910 RS-6349A 1A...(All etched)...

Side 2:...30910 RS-63494 1A (All etched)....


You don't need strong light to see that both sides have some scuff,hairlines etc..One or two look a bit dangerous...The last 2 pictures show a view under strong light..(bear in mind that strong light reveals EVERY defect,but,how often do you get out super strong light to examine your records?!...If they play well,that's all I need!..)...This would really benefit from a proper clean as I doubt that it has ever been cleaned in it's 55 years of existence....


On a play grade,most of the tracks play really well with no major audio defects..The end of A2 has some very light clicking and A2 has a little surface noise...There are a couple of isolated pops and a little surface noise on the run in grooves..Otherwise a nice clean sound,no sticking or jumping,no edgewarps and it's not dished...(I have done a video)....So looks VG,but plays close to EX...What's the grade?


The labels are undamaged but there are visible spindle trails...


The main reason for a VG grade on the sleeve is the slight staining inside the gatefold,slight wrinkling (also inside the gatefold sleeve) and the heavy age discolouring to the spine..Those American sleeves were just pasted together and with age,they all look a bit sloppy...There are no drill holes,saw cuts or cut corners...


The company inner sleeve has some creasing to one corner but remains unsplit....


A good sounding copy of his classic 2nd album...A sleeve with no major defects..Nice to have with a gatefold!...

It's an essential album for every serious collection...It has defects but it sounds great!...
