My listening equipment is a highly revealing Yamaha PF-800 turntable (easily equal to an LP12), pre/power amps and B&W Matrix Reference speakers. Before listing I always clean LPs on a vacuum record cleaning machine and I always determine audio quality by playing the LP not just by visual inspection. For this LP I have used an Ortofon OM10 MM cartridge.

Side one has background noise to the run-in groove, between tracks and some quiet passages as well as soft ticks to parts of some tracks. Side two is more of the same, but also has a passage of medium clicks to part of the final track. In spite of these faults the audio quality itself is very clear with no distortion or hissing, no skips or jumps and you can still enjoy listening to it. Also, as it’s an early American pressing and therefore very rare in the UK, you deserve the opportunity to buy it.

American covers are generally not up to UK standards (they are much more prone to wear). However, by normal American standards, this cover is pretty good. It’s got some spots of wear to the portrait on the front cover (see close-up photo), there is a crease to the bottom right front corner (see close-up photo) and a little damage to the bottom left corner on the back (see close-up photo). There is also a faint signature to the top left corner on the back (see photo – thanks ‘Irene’) and a signature to label side 1 (see photo – thanks again ‘Irene’). It has its original Reprise inner sleeve (see photo), but it is tatty and torn so although it is included, the record itself will be housed in a good old British inner sleeve.

The record will be well packaged for safe transit - I used to sell a lot of records on ebay so I have a good packaging procedure.
