Description
NELLIE MELBA (?) or Suzanne Adams?: "Les Huguenots": A ca mot tout s'anime/MARCELLA SEMBRICH: Voci di Primavera/JEAN LASSALE: Serenade ( IRCC-3034). Circa 1940 78 reissue. The first side contains the most legendary of the legendary Mapleson Cylinders, recorded live at the Metropolitan Opera in 1900 & 1901. Opera buffs have been arguing over the identity of the "Huguenots" singer for nearly a century. For a long time it was thought to be Nellie Melba, but later research shows it might have been Suzanne Adams. What do you think? Clean E+ condition.
