Description
This auction is for a rare copy of the classic Neurosis "The Word as Law" LP on Lookout Records. On this, their second LP, they created a bridge leading from the crusty hardcorepunk of "Pain of Mind" towards the distinct post-rock/sludge/metal/whatever-the-hell-you-want-to-call-it of "Souls at Zero" and everything after. With this album they were still firmly rooted in punk but starting to experiment more and reach into other genres bit by bit, creating a dist4rubingly psychedelic crust album of the first order. While "Through Silver In Blood" and "Times of Grace" will always be my favorite Neurosis albums, "The Word as Law" has always held a special place in my heart. No one else has ever been able to play their style of music the way Neurosis does, but nobody else even really tried what they were doing here. This classic LP has been out of print on vinyl for over a decade and a half now, but I recently ended up with an extra copy after buying a friend's record collection. Now's your chance to finally own one too.
