Description
Up for your consideration is a rather rare, 12" original pressing of the Evans Pyramid tracks,"Never Gonna Leave You" backed with "The Dip Drop" on the Funk Records label.
I've made both sides available on Soundcloud so that you can check them as if you were dropping the needle on them yourself. (However, I have disabled the "download" function.) Each soundfile contains the entire track, from needle-drop, through the song, and into the dead wax. No mechanical or computer trickery is involved - what you hear, is what you'll get. The record has been cleaned using a VPI machine.
"Never Gonna Leave You" has a scratch that presents itself as a recurring click during the first 50 seconds of the track (though barely noticeable after the first 30 seconds). Otherwise, it plays nicely, with some surface noise and the occasional small click or pop - though nothing that detracts from the playability of the track! "The Dip Drop" has perhaps a few more clicks and pops than the A Side, and a few recurring clicks throughout. Simply click on the links below to hear the actual record - in its entirety - that you're bidding on. The labels are free of any pen and pencil marks (see snapshots). I think you could still play this out (and get mad respect form the old-school crowd), but ultimately, that is a decision you will have to make on your own.
