Description
SUPER RARE AND AWESOME beat pop from Norway circa 1967! The New Beatnicks, and I've never seen any Norwegian originals from this band, but somehow they got an album release in Canada on the STONE label (the same label that brought North America the Swedish Jackpots album). Killer Grade-A crisp-sounding beat pop and popsike that reminds you of the Beatles, the Kinks ("I'm Not Sorry"), the Byrds ("Leave Me Girl"), the DC5, and then there's the AMAZING minor key total Zombies-fest "Please Stay" which sounds like something right off Odyssey and Oracle. Great album and quite rare - you won't find another up for bid right now!
Original 1967 press on the Canadian Stone label. Sleeve is in EXCELLENT shape.
Let's be honest - vinyl grading these days is very subjective. That's why I'll give you some soundclips with each auction so you can judge for yourself how the album sounds - every clip comes from the album you're bidding on. This one plays beautifully - almost like new so I'd say EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT. But judge for yourself. There are 3 soundclips at the very bottom of this listing.
