A relative of mine just gave me some records to sell and Lo and behold......
They had a few "rarities" so....here is the first.
Nick Drake LP.
Bryter layter (ILPS9134).
I've just played it and it sounds brilliant!!
EX/EX+ with very slight "noise" in places and trust me I do mean slight. Barely noticeable but makes it EX- in places. I am actually tempted to grade it as almost Mint as I've seen ones in similar condition to this listed as EX/Mint but.....I prefer to "undergrade" so.......a STRONG EX!
The sleeve is decent but has some wear on the spine and edges and a little bit of "water staining" as seen on the spine (top left) (it has been in a box for years so I'm just pleased it wasn't too badly water affected, to be honest). Title and cat. no. are readable but with lots of cardboard showing if you know what I mean but will try to get better pictures up of the spine and edges later (VG-?). No splits anywhere. It has that "pleasingly musty" smell that sleeves get when stored away (as this has been for years). Personally I would grade it as VG/VG+ but I am no expert so please make your own mind up.
I believe it is the 1st pressing "pink rim" "palm tree" logo version. It also has Stereo on the label at the right.
Matrix numbers are correct too (ILPS 9134A-1U and B-1U).
There are spindle marks but the vinyl looks gorgeous (1 "scuff" on the last 2 tracks on Side 2) but it doesn't affect play at all although odd "pop" near the very end (EX- still).

Inner sleeve is totally "roached" but obviously replaceable.
