Mute / BMG announce the long-awaited vinyl reissue of Goldfrapp’s second album, Black Cherry. Out on 27 September 2019, one of a series of Goldfrapp vinyl releases on special edition coloured vinyl. Originally released in April 2003, Black Cherry has been out of print for many years and will be available here as a purple vinyl pressing with an exclusive art print of the original artwork - collaged by Mat Maitland using photography by Polly Borland. The album was the follow up to Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory’s debut, Felt Mountain and gave them their first Top 20 album release in the UK and a Brit Award nomination the following year. Described by The Guardian on release as “laudable, challenging and immensely enjoyable” while Uncut declared “I doubt there'll be many better albums released this year.”, ‘Black Cherry’ is the sound of a band letting loose on the dancefloor, without discarding the previous album’s experimentalism. From the heartbroken beauty of the title track, to the fantasy-dancefloor-in-an-alien-landscape singles ‘Strict Machine’, which won an Ivor Novello Award and was described by NME as “a solid gold, honest-to-goodness hit record which should be Number One immediately”, the cover artwork features Gwendoline Christie, who went on to star in Game of Thrones and Star Wars, ‘Train’ (their first Top 30 single in the UK) and ‘Twist’, on Black Cherry Goldfrapp entwine classic songwriting with the most abstract of modern music, leaving a bold statement in an increasingly fractured world. Black Cherry will be available on special edition purple vinyl on 27 September 2019.

Payment:
We ask that payment is made within 3 days. We prefer payment by PayPal, and will only ship the item your PayPal confirmed address when PayPal is used. We also accept payment by uncrossed postal order, Personal Cheque, Bank Transfer and Credit Card by telephone. If payment isn’t received within 3 days, a Non-Paying bidder dispute will be filed, and the item may be offered to the next highest bidder or relisted at our sole discretion.
Shipping:
All goods purchased are securely and safely packaged for transit. The cost of Packaging materials (e.g. Jiffy Bags, Bubble Wrap etc) is included in the P&P charge. Items will normally be sent within 3 working days of receipt of cleared payment.
Stock:
Most items are either in stock with us or our suppliers and available for dispatch within 3 days. Occasionally, an item may be awaiting stock and in these instances we will contact you to confirm you are happy to wait for the item.
