NICK DRAKE BRYTER LAYTER RARE ORIGINAL UK LP VINYL 1970 ISLAND PINK RIM ILPS 9134
You are bidding on an EXTREMELY rare first UK pressing of Nick Drake's second album Bryter Layter from 1970.
Very few of these were ever made and so don't miss out on this very rare opportunity to own this highly sought after first UK pressing!
LABEL - Island Records - ILPS 9134
Matrix Numbers - Side A ILPS 9134 A-1 U - Side B ILPS 9134 B-1 U
Vinyl (Visual Grade) Ex+ Amazingly clean condition for age! Record still has beautiful shine, and only a few small small hairline marks (Audio Grade) Plays beautifully with a full sound, no jumps, skips or clicks whatsoever, some crackle in quieter parts and just a few sporadic pops.
Labels - Side A Near Mint - beautifully clean Side B - Ex Equally as clean as side A except for a slight tear over the word 'Stereo'
Textured Sleeve - VG- Sleeve is in very good condition completely textured but does have ring wear and a sticker damage in top right hand corner. The spine as can be seen from the photograph is very worn and has a split running 2/3rds of the length. (Very hard to find these original sleeves in better condition as Island refused to laminate them)
Custom Blue Inner Bag - Ex- The ORIGINAL 'Ice blue' Island inner bag with 'Pink I' - a bit creased but in excellent condition with no splits
Other First Pressing Identifiers
- The word STEREO is printed on both labels unlike later pressings - The Joe Boyd Credit is only on one line unlike later pressings - The sleeve is TEXTURED printed by 'E.J. Day Group London and Bedford' and the word 'BRASS' is incorrectly printed as BASS for the Robert Kirby credit - The machine stamped matrix numbers are ILPS 9134 A-1U & LPS 9134 B-1U which denote the true first pressing - Only the first press includes the custom blue inner bag
