Description
a very reasonable copy of Nick Drake's classic second album, 'Bryter Layter'.
this is a first pressing as indicated by the A-1 U / B-1 U matrix numbers.
the textured sleeve is displaying some storage wear along the edges, along with some light ringwear that's more noticeable on the back cover. the sleeve is free from writing and i'd grade it as VG minus.
the real selling point of this particular copy is the records quality - there are no visible scratches or worrying marks and it's a very clean copy overall. i've listened to the album from start to finish and it plays through well - there's some light surface noise on the run-ins and between tracks, as to be expected with an old album. there are 2 pops inbetween tracks 2 and 3 on side one, with 2 more very light pops on side two - one in the louder piano section on 'poor boy' and one that's virtually unnoticeable during 'northern sky'. they really don't detract from the overall listening experience. i'd grade the record as being VG plus, and that's a cautious grading - i'm sure that most sellers would list this as an EX or very close.

a great chance to pick up a decent copy of this classic album. i've read that there were less than 3000 copies sold on release, and mint copies are listed at £300 in the 2012 Record Collector price guide.
the album has been carefully cleaned on an Okki Nokki record cleaning machine and then placed in a new paper sleeve. it'll be packed well for the winning bidder with card stiffeners either side of the record and sleeve.
i'm happy to post this album worldwide, but i would suggest that the winning bidder pays an extra £5.15 for the 'international signed for' option.
