Description
This is the original 1972 UK first pressing pink rim Island issue ILPS-9184 "Pink Moon" by Nick Drake. The matrix numbers are: Side 1 - ILPS-9184 A-1U and Side 2 - ILPS-9184 B-1U.
This rare record is in beautiful condition and the package is only spoilt by a surface blemish on the front cover where a sticker was removed at the time of purchase! Other wise it is all in great condition having been kept in a plastic outer sleeve and only played on decent equipment.
The gatefold sleeve is the original Tinsley Robor Group Ltd imprint with minimal edge wear and corner dogging. The spine text is clear and, again, there is minimal wear. The inside of the cover is almost totally free from rub marks or other abrasions although there is a slight crease mark on the top right. The pale blue Island inner sleeve is in good condition although there is some yellowing consistent with its age.
The playing surface is in excellent condition with a little light dust marking which doesn't affect the sound and the labels are clean with no noticable spindle marks.
This is an album which deserves to be listened to in the original format for its richness and resonnance.
