RECORD CONDITION:

Not only is this a supremely rare first pressing, but it’s in a sensational condition and has to grade as a strong EXCELLENT if not something better!!!! It has a dark, gleaming sheen and a general feel of substance and quality. There are no bad marks or scratches, there are no marks on the label and overall it's a record that looks absolutely pristine. A very close visual inspection under a strong light bulb reveals a few light paper scuffs and rub marks, these are not serious and do not effect the quality of the sound, they are a minor point although they are the primary factor in my grade. I looked closely for spindle wear but simply couldn’t find any, and the audio quality during my play grade was superb and incredibly clear. The run in grooves are close to silent, between the tracks I picked up a couple of faint light crackles and during the whole album I can recall hearing only the very occasional light pop and a little light but un-intrusive surface noise in one or two places, certainly nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music. In essence, this is a record that has been handled with the utmost care that’s befitting of such a rare piece. Wonderful!!

COVER CONDITION:

This original gatefold album cover has been looked after with the same amount of care and attention as its record! It has been pressed on great quality substantial card, something which has helped a great deal in preserving this rare sleeves fully intact and undamaged status 32 years after its original release. All the brilliant artwork, on the front, the back and the inside, is completely unblemished. There have clearly never been any stickers or such like attached to this album cover. The top and bottom edges have only the lightest rubbing effects which do not qualify as scuffing, it is literally just a few light rub marks that are barely traceable. The spine is still firm, un-scuffed and has clearly legible text, there’s no signs of age here except for a small crease that has occurred when the gatefold has been folded out. Because the sleeve is pressed on nice thick card, I’m delighted to say that no ring-wear has developed – there’s nothing other than the faintest circular impression of a record that becomes visible when held to light. The worst you can say about this cover is that there are a few light creases apparent in the surface when you hold it up to light, because of that I am grading the cover as a VERY GOOD although really it deserves a much higher grade – it’s undamaged and looks absolutely sensational!!!
