Description
This is very interesting. It appears to be a test pressing for a Nick Drake compilation album. It's entitled Nicholas Rodney Drake -'Time Has Told Me - Volume Two'. There is no outer sleeve but the plain white inner bag features the following wording - 'SKR 1974 X 10 - 02 OCT 2006 - TEST PRESSING NOT FOR PRODUCTION!' Attached by clear adhesive tape to the plain white inner bag are two 'labels' which appear to be pre-production samples. They feature the name 'Schoolkids' Records' and state around the circumference of each - 'ALL RIGHTS OF THE MANUFACTURER AND THE PRODUCER RESERVED UNAUTHORISED COPYING RECORDING BROADCASTING PUBLIC PERFORMANCE HIRING OR RENTAL OF THIS RECORDING IN WHATEVER MANNER IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED TWO THOUSAND AND SIX'. The labels feature the name 'Nicholas Rodney Drake' and the LP title 'Time Has Told Me - Volume Two'. The track titles are - side one - 'Betty Dupree', 'Strange Meeting (Second Take)', 'Joey (First Take)', 'Leaving Me Behind', 'Saturday Sun (Take One)', 'Saturday Sun (Take Two)', 'Saturday Sun (Take Three)', 'Day Is Done' - side two - 'Three Hours', 'Mayfair (First Take)', 'Mayfair (Second Take)', 'Mayfair (Third Take)', 'Place To Be (First Take)', 'Fly (First Take)', 'Time of No Reply (John Peel Session)', 'Three Hours (John Peel Session)', 'Tow The Line (Guitar Track)'. The plain white sleeve with attached labels has some minor creasing and one small tear on the front but is, otherwise in great condition and has been been graded Ex-. The record which has white labels on both sides (side two has stamps which state - SKR 1974 - TEST PRESSING ONLY NOT FOR PRODUCTION! X 10 02 OCT 2006) is in fantastic condition and plays almost perfectly. I've graded the record Ex++.
