Description

Alternate versions & unreleased songs...

Blossom Friend/Bettys Blues/Mayfair/Day Is Done/Fly/Parasite/Early Morning Dialogue/Leaving Me Blind/Saturday Sun/Instrumental/Joey/Hazey Jane/Bird Flwe By/Place To Be

Second Grace is of real and significant interest to Nick Drake fans and is, as it says on the liner notes, 'Home recordings of alternate versions and unreleased songs'. Sadly the sound quality isn't brilliant (but still very listenable).

Highlights for me are:
"Day Is Done".
"Mayfair" (3rd version).
"Instrumental" (track 10).
the haunting "Three Hours".
"Fly" (2nd version).
the immortal "Hazey Jane".
"Parasite".
"Saturday Sun" (3rd version).
"Birds Flew By".
the spoken word "Early Morning Dialogue", where an intoxicated Drake talks about a party he's just been to!
