Celebrating Our 30th Anniversary
RECORD COLLECTORS!
See HOW WE GRADE LP's; learn "record jargon" (a vocabulary of sorts); what's a HOT STAMPER?: Rainy Day Records & Crooked Finger Books (established 1981).
If we don’t earn your positive feedback and 5-star ratings across the board, please contact us so we can make things right.
YOUR SATISFACTION IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY!
This is Verve Records (V6-5032), CHELSEA GIRL by NICO, an original (first) US pressing in very nice condition. Jacket is NEAR MINT MINUS showing a minor bump upper right front surface (see photo above); original inner sleeve has a few wrinkles but no tears (EX). The labels show a few light spindle marks but the playing surfaces appear flawless, MINT! In addition the vinyl retains much of its original lustre and gloss making this one of the finest examples we've seen lately of this jazzy, baroque classic. Check out the lineup below. Yes, that's the Jackson Browne with three members of the Velvet Underground and Tom Wilson producing. Fallon's string quartets and flutes add the final atmosphere -- musical lace around Nico's rich, sullen and sultry voice.
Personnel & Instrumentation:
- Nico – vocals
- Jackson Browne – electric guitar (A1-2, B2-3, B5)
- Lou Reed – electric guitar (A3, A5, B1, B4)
- John Cale – viola, organ, guitar (A3-5)
- Sterling Morrison – electric guitar (B1, B4)
- Tom Wilson – producer
- Larry Fallon – strings and flute arrangements
