Description
This vinyl record by Nina Simone features her live performance at the Newport Jazz Festival in 1960. The album includes the original cover and is a Rockaway pressing with a catalog number of C 412. The record is a MONO edition LP with a speed of 33 RPM and is in excellent condition (EX), while the cardboard sleeve is very good (VG).
The vinyl matrix number appears to be something like N8 OPO229–3B A2 R / N8 OPO228–3B A3 R; see photos. The release year is 1960 and the record label is Colpix Records. The genre is jazz and blues, and the style is from the 1950s and 1960s. The country of manufacture is the United States and the record size is 12 inches.
The cover has some wear and unfortunate personal markings on the front. The vinyl is in excellent condition with some visible scuffing or scratching which I tried to illustrate accurately in the photos. None of that significantly impacts the play. Please see the photos in the listing. I suspect the generic paper sleeve is not original, but I’ve included a new high quality inner & outer sleeve to further protect this LP.
I played both sides of this LP completely through on my audio-technica AT-LP60XBT turntable without issues. This record plays beautifully and sounds great considering its age.

Pressed at RCA Records Pressing Plant, Rockaway (identified by 'R' in runout)...
The labels have approx. 7 cm deep groove pressing rings, and are gold with Liberty torch on top of the "L" in the red "Colpix" name at the top of the label.
Tracklist & label variation: Side 1 label lists the tracks listed on cover as on Side 2 and vice versa. Tracks play as listed on labels.
Track B2 is listed on the record label as "Blues for Porgy", but listed as simply "Porgy" in the tracklist on the cover and in comments in the liner notes..
