King Of The Bop/ Nervous Wreck (Soho Records 1978) Its a bona fide punky classic especially the b side but the punkabilly a side comes damn close as well.

Shane: "When we recorded 'King Of The Bop' we were all on drugs and Dragonella was in a coma."

If you haven't got it why not ?

-------------------------------------------------

Formed by the gorgeous Shanne and Shane towards the latter days of The Roxy. Shanne (later called Dragonella) was originally taught bass by Captain Sensible and played in a band called The Launderettes. She again was involved with the punk scene from the very start with the Pistols and Damned. It was she that came up with the name Nipple Erectors for the band. The dentally challenged Shane McGowan writer of 'Bondage' fanzine was a well known face on the scene and indeed appeared on the front cover of Sounds with the caption 'The Face of 76. He's also in Don Letts' 'Punk Movie' in the union jack blazer pogoing and bashing on the Jams drum kit.

Both were original Pistols fans but managed to come up with something completely different. They had their problems though; fluid personnel, constantly changing style through four singles, limited reaction on Chiswick who couldn't afford to promote heavily and last, but not least, their very name which they reluctantly changed.

They occurred as punk was changing so they had to change to avoid being dated and they toured with a wide variety of acts from The Damned to Mod acts like The Purple Hearts to Dexy's Midnight Runners. They played everywhere (includong the Roxy a couple of times on audition night) and with everyone.

Shanne would go onto greater glory with The Men They Couldn't Hang while for Shane the dizzy heights of The Pogues and alcohol abuse!

Sorry but I am no longer willing to carry combined transactions beyond two weeks of auctions (see below).

PAYMENT

I would appreciate payment within seven days of the auction’s end. If you want to bid on more of my auctions ending a week later please inform me. I will wait and issue a combined invoice at the close of the second week’s auctions.

However, I am no longer willing to carry combined transactions beyond two weeks and in these cases would appreciate payment promptly after the close of the second week’s auctions.

I am sorry to have to introduce these measures – I always try to be patient and allow buyers to bid on extra auctions and / or delay payment. Unfortunately some buyers have been stretching out transactions to unacceptable lengths so I feel I have no option but to limit ‘carried over’ transactions to two weeks.
