Description
This is a very interesting item, that i've had in my collection for years. When I got it, I was told it was an original, but it seemed a bit off as I had other Sub Pop test pressings, and this had a different label. Now we all know the deal with the various boot versions of this mega rare "Love Buzz" single. This comes in a plain white sleeve, and the label is a generic "test pressing" label, a place for the date which is blank but on side of the label where it says "record no." in ball point pen is written in SP-23.
The matrix or dead wax has (in parenthesis) "Why Don't You Trade Those Guitars For Shovels SP23A L31540" and the b-side has SP23 L31540X. So no, this is NOT the Sub Pop test pressing, but according to the info i've scene, it is the 1st issue of the boot of this single. In fact, a few people have told me that this 1st bootleg is sought after by collectors too. I've never scene nor heard of one of these for sale.
The record looks like it has never been played, it is mint.
