Description
Original European pressing included a misprint on the insert/inner cover.
On one side a pic of the band - smiling Cobain and rather too close up view of Grohl - and credits.
On the reverse the picture of a monkey and the ‘Spring is here again, tender age in bloom....’ wavy writing section but, er, upside down. Oops.
This was corrected on subsequent pressings making this version of Nirvana’s breakthrough album somewhat rare and sought after.
Somewhat ironically it was printed in Germany, a nation normally synonymous with high quality production. Not much ‘Vorsprung Durch Technik’ on this occasion though ????.
Data below confirms it as the misprinted version but it’s not difficult to miss the upside down writing. It is of course trickier to photograph it but take a look at the pics.
Note: no damage was done to animals, children, record sleeves or vinyl during the production of these photographs. ????
