NITE PEOPLE
P.M.
1970 PAGE ONE RECORDS ORIGINAL GATEFOLD
Cat No ~ POLS 025
This is an extremely rare album and the first time I have ever come across it.
When I played this week to a good friend from Dundee he commented that this album (which both of us had NEVER heard before) was the link between 60's psychedelia and 70's progressive rock.
This is an organ lead album of originals and cover versions done in a unique style inter~spearsed with stunning psych style guitar. The only disappointment for me was the ELTON JOHN/BERNIE TAUPIN cover on side 2 which was done in a more conventional pop style and released as a single on PAGE ONE, now highly collectible in its own right.
OVERALL CONDITION
FLIPBACK SLEEVE ~ VG+(+)
(Some front cover creasing/light ringwear but nothing too serious ~see scan 3; rear is clean and flipback and spine intact see scans 2 + 3).
VINYL ~ VISUAL (in normal light) ~ EX-
(would be VG++ in spotlighting which shows up spindle marks/some light scuffs but asbsolutely NOTHING SERIOUS! This was played using a quality Goldring deck at the time )
VINYL ~ AUDIO SAMPLING ~ EX+
THIS ALBUM PLAYS PERFECTLY FROM START TO FINISH WITHOUT DETERIORATON IN SOUND QUALITY.
A SERIOUSLY RARE ALBUM THAT ALTHOUGH HAVING BEEN PLAYED AT THE TIME STILL SOUNDS STUNNING.
I DO NOT THINK YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.
(Please note~slightly higher postage charge as this will be sent SIGNED FOR~I can also do FED EX abroad for a slighly higher fee)
GRADING : I grade records firstly visually and sample aurally for overall sound quality. Should you feel I have misgraded please remember that I offer a full NO QUIBBLE refund or agreed price reduction if I am off the mark.
NEAR MINT (NM)~~a top copy~audio listening and visual grading has not revealed any imperfections. Lp is guaranteed to sound superb and shows very little sign of playing.
NEAR EXCELLENT (EX- or EX or EX+)~~careful visual inspection audio sampling has not revealed any major imperfections such as clicks or skips~~the LP should sound superb and it will be hard to find a better copy. Sleeve and any inserts/inners are in excellent shape. You will not be disappointed.
VG++ ~~you will not be disappointed with this LP~may have some light surface hairlines under bright light but will sound true without distortion or any major flaw. Sleeve will be in good order.
VG+~~ audio listening has revealed some limited surface noise (especially at run~in groove and towards start of each side and the run~out groove) or the odd crackle here and there. Visually the Lp may have light scuffs but nothing major though has obviously been played a few times. There should be no skips or repeats and play without distortion.
Sleeve might have light creases or minor ringwear or spine wear but nothing too serious.
Overall the Lp and sleeve are still quite acceptable and a better copy may never come along!
STILL PERFECTLY PLAYABLE AND STILL A VERY ACCEPTABLE SOUND!!
VG~~not great and may have surface noise throughout but I will flag up this grading rarely.
The sleeve will have seen better days.
Probably worth it for rarity value.
All orders guaranteed professionally packed.
