THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND
Titled-At Fillmore East
Label-Atlantic
Cat No-2402036
Original 1st UK pressing Red Plum labels, with matrix errors and hand corrections. This particular copy is housed in a US Capricorn sleeve SD2-802. I thought that this must have been a marriage at some point but apprarently some of the early UK pressings used these sleeves, so sleeve is as issued.
Condition
?Record- NM
Both records are incredible examples in Near Mint condition. A wonderfully glossy sheen to the playing surfaces, extremely hard to fault visually, a couple of extremely fine whispy inner sleeve marks just spotted in bright light LED. An extremely high grade example. The labels are clean with a couple of slight spindle marks just noticed. One of the best examples I have handle in many years.
This record along with a few others listed are from the same collection and have been very well preserved, with extremely limited use. They have been in storage for many years which is one the reason it presents so well. As a result of limited playing and a long period of storage unplayed I would suggest a professional clean to enhance the audio.
Sleeve- EX+ A solid sleeve clean and well preserved, some minor edge wear and minimal marks, the sleeve looks to have previously had some taping along the edges that presents lightly inside the gatefold also and inside the opening edges, this isnt too heavy, with some very light, dry tape residue and minor tape staining in places to the edges, some occasinal minor surface grazes noticed. Some moderate storage wear but generally a nicely preserved example that still manages to present as a solid EX grade.
