The Beatles
Yellow Submarine
(you're not going to find better!)

Roll up, roll up all ye Beatles fans....Ready to be re-released by Disney in the near future as a 3D remake, it's The Beatles' YELLOW SUBMARINE....
This was The Beatles' eleventh official album release and interestingly enough, the first album of theirs to included non-Beatles material. Released, after a delay, in mid January the album made it up the UK charts to the 3rd position....With The Beatles' 'White' album denying it the top slot.
There were only modest sales-in comparison with other Beatles releases-as the sales were around 800,000 within the first three months, but it did go over1 million sales by the end of the year. This could have had something to do with the album having only four original tracks and the rest was George Martin's film score.

So, here's the details of this album up for auction:

Catalogue number: PCS 7070

Matrix Numbers side 1: 1040021 1A1
Matrix Numbers side 2: 1040021 1B1

Vinyl: NMINT! SUPERB! Possibly only played a few times-other than when I play tested her! There are just light marks from taking the record out of the sleeve and then carefully replacing it.
Glorious sheen.
FLAT
The audio is crystal clear, with almost silent run-ins and outs.
The true test was the side 2 instrumental side-which shone out in all it's glory with clear and clean audio.
THIS IS HOW THE BEATLES WANTED YOU TO HEAR THEM.

Lables: NMINT! I can't even see a spindle mark on her!!! She is the later pressing, but a later pressing in simply superb condition! As is usual, it has the lighter apple to side 1, whilst the side 2 label retains it's darker colour.
*FANTASTIC*
UNUSUALLY: There is a groove, around 1cm infrom the edge-which looks similar to the Philips/Pye pressings of old...very strange indeed!

Cover: NMINT! Lovely and shiny, with sharp corners.  It doesn't have the red lines above and below the back text. "...Direct Metal Mastered..."
SLEEVE PRINTED IN ENGLAND
MANUFACTURED IN ENGLAND

Inner: NMINT! It is a white die-cut EMI inner, with two windows.
As near to mint as you can get-without a time-machine.

All in all this is a top grade pressing and would sit proud in any collection.
FRAME THIS BABY-AFTER YOU'VE PLAYED HER THROUGH-LOUD!
