To all you fans of late 80'S death metal, here is a rare first pressing edition of Nocturnus The Key.  Not as well known as bands like Death, Pestilence, Obituary and Morbid Angel. Their style makes them stick out more to me like bands like Bolt Thrower and Paradise Lost.  For one thing this band has a keyboard player in it, and the drummer is the singer, I guess you could describe their sound as sci-fi death/thrash metal.  I know what you are thinking, a keyboardist in a death metal band, but it works.  This album is heavy, fast and evil with a sci-fi like soundtrack added to the songs due to the addition of a keyboardist. This group also has a little thrash sound to them as well so some of the vocals are a little cleaner at  points which made me like this album right away. Check out sound clips for the songs Lake of fire & BC/AD to see if their style is also for you. The vinyl plays and sounds great, I have recorded this vinyl to cd and listened to it many times I actually have Bolt Thrower's Realm of Chaos on the same cd recording first and they match great together, first it's War, Blood and Chaos and then Realms of Sci-fi Hell.  So snag this up and enjoy, I have for many years. 

(04-27) I have been contacted a couple of times, and asked if this group sounds like Bolt Thrower or Paradise Lost.  When I mentioned these two bands, I meant that Nocturnus is similar in only that their style is different than the traditional death metal of that time.  Where Bolt Thrower is more like speed and death metal combined, and Paradise Lost is like gothic, dark and death metal combined.  And Nocturnus is thrash and death metal combined.  Hope this helps.

Vinyl: Mint-  bright and clean, a few surface marks a little bit more on side 1, Plays and sounds great  
Insert: Mint- pictures and lyrics, has one spot where coating didn't stick in the printing it's about 1 inch
Sleeve: Mint  plain white paper
Cover: Mint-  slight creases and corner dings and very slight shelf wear hardly noticeable
Kept in outer plastic sleeve since I bought it used and just switched it out to a newer looking one
