Description
NOLAN PORTER Nolan ORIG US ABC LP r&b northern soul 1972 ex++
Over the next few months i will be selling on here a superb selection of rare Soul, Jazz, Funk and Latin LP's, acquired from a serious enthusiast who is trimming his collection down! Most are in fantastic collectors condition, and most are original pressings unless otherwise stated...Artist: NOLAN PORTER
Title: NOLAN
Format: LP
Label: ABC Records, USA (ABCX 766)
Year: 1972
Style: R&B, Soul, Northern Soul, Soul-Reggae
Info: Fantastic original US pressing LP featuring some classic R&B and northern soul dancers, including the classics "If I Could Only Be Sure" and "Keep On Keepin' On"!
Also contains the LP-only "Oh Baby", as well as a couple of cool soul-reggae tracks.
This is a rare original issue with black grooved labels, and a superb clean copy!
Listen here (not my youtube videos):
Comes in original card paste-on picture sleeve and has original company inner sleeve.
Ten tracks:-
-side 1:
I LIKE WHAT YOU GIVE
GROOVIN' (Out On Life)
SOMEBODY'S GONE
WORK IT OUT IN THE MORNING
OH BABY
-side 2:
IF I COULD ONLY BE SURE
CRAZY LOVE
SINGER MAN
BURN DOWN THE CORNFIELD
KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON
Vinyl in excellent++ condition and has hardly been touched! There are two small faint surface blemish marks on side 1 but these have no noticeable effect on play other than a couple of very soft ticks in two of the spaces in between tracks. Otherwise both sides play through very nicely indeed, with side 2 closer to near mint condition!
Labels are perfect and i can only see a couple of extremely faint lines that might be spindle marks.
Sleeve in excellent++ condition and looks super with only a tiny amount of light wear. No sticker marks, writing or spine splits.
Inner sleeve has a small tear in two of the edges and a very small tear running off the centre hole on one side, but is otherwise excellent.
I am selling lots more similar records this week so please check my other auctions and ebay shop..!
