Description
You are bidding on a rare, vintage, original, black gospel, LP record album, from 1962, by The North Philadelphia Juniors, on the Sharp Record Co. label, from Newark, New New Jersey, #MG-2013. On the back cover, at the very lower right hand corner is printed, "Contents Copyrighted 1962". The classic blue and silver Sharp labels are in excellent condition with the exception of a small spot of wear on one spindle hole edge. Both label sides state, at the bottom perimeter, "A DIVISION OF WORLD WIDE RECORD CO. , NEWARK N.J." Please note: In the photos I have taken, the rich blue color of the labels is better captured of those with both jacket and record, taken from a distance. The close-up photos make the color look lighter than it is. The vinyl is in excellent condition and looks rarely played. I could only find a few light surface marks-scratches, and one light scratch. The original, mirror-like vinyl gloss is tremendous. The jacket is in very good plus to excellent condition, still in the original shrink wrap. The exception of a 1 3/4 inch diagonal cut at the lower right hand corner (with this part of the small jacket missing-see photos.) and some light to moderate soiling of the back side cover white back ground, mostly along the edges. The front cover colors are bright and vibrant. The back cover white background, as mentioned, has moderate ring wear by the top edge above the tile words, "North Philadelphia". There is some very light soiling on the back cover, mostly along the edges and a few lines of such, diagonally, along the song titles to the right. There is a two inch edge split at the upper edge at the right hand corner. This has been a critical description for the serious record collector. Please see the detailed photos. This is a nice, very rare, record.
