First off,I am not a record grader in the sense that the widely accepted view of letter grading vinyl to me has much room for gaps in assessment.I always try to give as much info as I can,so the perspective buyer can make a comfortable judgment  Grading records or anything for that matter is subjective ,and opinions can and do vary.


 Fairly obscure northern soul 45 rpm.The Sparkels on the Old Town label # 1160(1219) That Boy Of Mine &  (1160)(1220)Try Love(One More Time).As to its condition.First the label.The label to me looks in very good condition with some observations.The label is glued on tight,and shows no signs of pulling .The paper on the label overall looks good.Using a mag lens,I notice on the Try Love side,a few TINY flake offs that show white under the ink.VERY tiny.You really need the lens to see it.On the That Boy side,by the spindle hole,a little scuffing of the paper around the ring.The part noticeable by eye is on the left side,the rest you need the lens to see .Also,where the vinyl is raised  on the outer and inner rings where the label glues,there it is darker shading.,possibly the glue having bleed though back when or just some wear from being stacked over the years.I'm being picky about it,but as you see in the scans,it looks pretty well.Now onto the vinyl.Looking at it in bright sun light and though my mag lens,I would say the overall on the vinyl is good.There are a few scattered light surface scratches on both sides,and drops of a scuff or two,but they are all light in nature ,in my opinion.Both the A & B sides can be heard in the MP3 samples I provided so you can make a judgment as to its playing condition..Both sides played well on my turntable with no skipping.Please note, I will only vouch for my turntables performance.As we all know,turntable performance varies from one to the next.The 45 also laid pretty flat .The matrix number in the trail off is etched with the  the corresponding  1219 and 1220 that the label has ,and also the name Bell Sound. I will provide a plain generic 45 sleeve.Any questions please ask BEFORE bidding.I can really not stress that enough.If you want other pictures ,please email me and I will be glad to provide them.
