NORTHERN SOUL R & B
EDWARD HAMILTON and the Arabians, on MARY JANE Records #P1005, an original 45 rpm 7" release on a Detroit label titled: BABY DON'T YOU WEEP / TELL ME, produced by F. Bridges, R. Knight, & Lou Beatty.
This is my second copy of this recording. I am afraid that I cannot grade it near-mint like it's predecessor. The label looks good on both sides except for a few marks and a sticker on A side on the left side. The vinyl on A side (Baby, don't you weep) is shiny black with no scuffs or scratches except a small surface scratch on the very edge before the start of play. B side (Tell me) has shiny black vinyl however there are some scuff marks & several small scratches. Also on this side are a few tiny, barely noticeable chips on the very edge of the record. None of these flaws effect the play from start to finish and the vocals are very clear with limited light background noise. It is not warped but it doesn't lay straight flat on the turntable probably because the records were stored on top of each other in a box for a long period of time. This is a VG recording. I kid you not though, it plays very good on both sides.
