Description

This is likely an ULTRA RARE White Label Promo (Disc Jockey Advance Sample) of the Motown 45 rpm single (M-1037) released in 1963 by then young artist Linda Griner (aka Lyn Roman post Motown years). The presumed scarcity is that there is an error in the A side title shown as "Good-By Cruel World" when in fact the correct title is "Good-By Cruel Love" as reflected on some other PROMO releases (see recent eBay sale that closed 12/4/13).  Each song (Good-By Cruel Love and Envious) was written by famed artist and songwriter William "Smokey" Robinson who also is listed as Producer on the label. This disc may be a great add to 45 record collections of Northern Soul Fans.

The condition of the white promo label on each side is very nice showing only modest fading and soiling from its approximate 50+ year age. There are no tears, added writings or other distractions. The vinyl is shiny but does show some light scuffs and scratches on each side and a tiny white speck near the end of the B side that does not come off after several cleanings with a Spin Clean record washer. The sound and listening experience is very nice with no skips or surface noise. This disc is rated a solid VG+ (Goldmine Guide Standards). A new generic white sleeve and new poly outer sleeve is provided. All shipments are in heavy duty cardboard record mailers and contents wrapped in bubble wrap. Questions welcomed.

U.S. Buyers must USPS Priority Mail (sorry no Media Mail on this rare item). International buyers must use eBay's global shipping program (please ensure destination country is in program and shipment cost including any import fees are acceptable prior to bidding/purchasing). Thank you.
