Description
This is an original U.S. pressing copy of the rare sole LP by the Novells, released in 1968. Basically an L.A. club band, the group play mostly their own compositions here, and round out the LP with covers of a few hits of the day (Otis Redding's "Dock of the Bay," Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love," Lee Michael's "Love"). They were big enough to cop liner notes by the Boyce and Hart songwriting team (who notably contributed many tracks to the Monkees). The jacket is in fine overall condition with a ½” split in the bottom seam, creasing and wear in the corners (which is heavier in the bottom corners), and light ring, spine, and seam wear -- EX(-). The disc has some scuffing and loss of glossiness, and plays with a steady light to moderate hiss, but no pops in the many parts I sampled (VG+).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
