NU & U-Roy:The Originator
Very rare original UK Vinyl LP Album.
YEAR: 1976
COUNTRY: UK
FORMAT: LP
LABEL: Carib Gems
CATALOGUE NUMBER: ??CGLP 107
ADDITIONAL INFO: I recently acquired a little pile of pretty much excellent unplayed reggae 12" and a few albums that belonged to a DJ who obviously didn't have reggae on his playlist! This is one of them, more to follow.
Original 1976 UK Carib Gems issue. Unfortunately no cover, comes in plain white paper sleeve. Brilliant album, eleven tracks of deejay roots. New Roy & U-Roy. Produced by Striker Bunny Lee. Recorded at King Tubby's Studio.

I used to produce a Skinzine back in the 1980s, BATW, have finally decided to thin out my Ska/Rocksteady & Reggae collection of 7" built up over the last 40 years. I now collect 70s/early 80s mid-tempo, crossover, disco soul and would be open to trades if anyone has such stuff, especially Caribbean Islands soul sides (Jamaica/Barbados/Trinidad etc).
SOUND FILE
There should be active links to Drop Box directly below this where you can listen to full sound files of actual record. I am aware the links are not visible for all users. If for any reason the sound files are missing or do not work, please let me know and I can try to email you the MP3s directly. Recorded on an Audio-Technica AT-LP60 USB turntable at 128 bit rate, so don’t expect superior quality audio! However if there is any pops, clicks or background noise you will hear it. Please listen to it before bidding to avoid questions of grading. Please, please listen before bidding to avoid any later confusion.

GRADING
Please read carefully before bidding.
RECORD (Visually): VG++
Retains a nice full sheen. Has some mostly superficial hairlines/scuffs/marks. Both sides play well and clear, there are just three light ticks on side two at 1:57/3:00 & 6:27.
Please see pictures as well as the sound file for more detail of grading.
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has obviously been over played, and will probably display deterioration in sound quality, it will probably have lots of fine lines and the odd scratch. Wear and tear on the cover or extra items.
12"/LP records shipped in dedicated record mailer with two stiffeners.
