NEWSAGENT'S DESCRIPTION
This listing is for the original 1988 U.S. pressing of Survive, the third studio album by New York thrash metal band Nuclear Assault, released through I.R.S. Records / I.R.S. Metal / Combat (IRS-42195). Formed by former Anthrax bassist Dan Lilker with vocalist/guitarist John Connelly, Nuclear Assault became an important part of the late-1980s East Coast thrash scene. Survive is one of the band's defining releases, featuring the classic lineup of Connelly, Lilker, Anthony Bramante, and Glenn Evans.
The album delivers the band's politically and socially charged approach on tracks including "Rise from the Ashes," "Brainwashed," "F#" and the title track "Survive." It also contains Nuclear Assault's thrash-metal interpretation of Led Zeppelin's "Good Times Bad Times," giving the record an unusual connection to classic hard rock.
This original 1988 U.S. vinyl edition was pressed at the MCA Pressing Plant in Gloversville, New York, an original-period pressing from the band's classic era. This record is housed in its original cardboard jacket, includes its original plastic inner sleeve and an informational paper insert. It has been play tested and ultrasonically cleaned.
