IAN CARR'S NUCLEUS "Snakehips Etcetera" LP. Rare 100% ORIGINAL UK FIRST PRESSING from 1975, released on the VERTIGO SPACESHIP label with the catalogue number 6360 119.

Highly collectable and superb NEAR MINT CONDITION original VERTIGO records 'SPACESHIP' label 1975 UK 1st PRESS LP by the legendary British progressive / jazz fusion group NUCLEUS featuring the late and very great IAN CARR. This is the rare and very sought after original 1st UK pressing. The album comes in its striking original fully laminated 'Robert Stace' sleeve complete with correct original poly-lined inner sleeve.

Another strongly recommended Vertigo album from the highly respected and collectable progressive jazz rock trumpeter (and multi-instrumentalist) Ian Carr and his band Nucleus. On this album Nucleus were a 6-piece band, the album is brilliantly produced by Jon Hiseman and progressive jazz rock fans will love this one.

(A beautiful UK first pressing vinyl LP in near mint condition. The vinyl retains a fantastic shine with all its original full gloss and sheen having only been played two or three times from new. This super record plays up to its high visual grading with little to fault. Strong, undistorted sound, all frequencies are sharp and clear - sound quality is very high with a rich dynamic range and very full sound and a loud recording. Any surface sounds are minimal indeed, and few copies will play much better than this one. A great original UK 1st pressing of this rare Vertigo label album)

(Excellent condition original high gloss fully laminated single sleeve with the Vertigo spiral logo on the front and back. It was printed in England by Robert Stace. Only a few very light small laminate creases near the spine. No writing or pen marks. The spine text is fully legible with all wording and coding visible. A beautiful original fully laminated copy of this striking Vertigo Records 1970's sleeve)

THE LP IS PRODUCED BY JOHN HISEMAN and featuring IAN CARR, BOB BERTLES, KEN SHAW, GEOFF CASTLE, ROGER SUTTON and ROGER SELLERS collectively known as NUCLEUS.

Ian Carr albums never appear often and are usually in pretty high demand. A cult figure within his field this is another high intensity jazz rock album. Remaining more melodic than early pioneers like Soft Machine this album is likely to appeal to rock fans as well as jazz connoisseurs. A fine copy that sets a very high standard.

MINT (M): The record / cd displays barely any signs of use, if any, with no marks or deterioration in sound quality. Extra items and cover are near perfect.

EXCELLENT (EX): Shows only minor signs of being played with very little lessening in sound quality. The Cover and extras will have some light wear and or creasing

VERY GOOD (VG): Has been played many times but has no major deterioration in sound quality, despite some noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Cover and extras will have normal wear and tear but no major defects

GOOD (G): Has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and any extras may suffer from folding, scuffing, split spine, discoloration etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable and has considerable surface noise and may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly. Covers badly damaged or partly missing
