GREAT BAND from Liverpool who terrorized the mid seventies hard rock scene with a brace of fine well crafted albums - this is their debut album, by far their hardest to locate as it sold zero on release. The music is thick and fat with copious use of muscular proggy riffs and surprisngly adorit arrangements. Spare a thought for super vocalist Dave Lloyd who's authoritive chest beating but melodic voice really is the icing on the cake here.

One of the best things about this album is the quality of the song writing. This is a band who obviously spent time very carefully collecting not only their thoughts but also the material resulting in a finely crafted work that hits all the right buttons. It's not as heavier as their later album, showcasing a band influenced more by American rock than their British contemporaries - sort of like a funky Deep Purple or, for that matter, Trapeze.

This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Nice clean and shiny condition. Some faint signs of spindle marks on labels. Grades as top Ex+

Cover: Again, virtually no signs of use. As you know, this cover is almost impossible to find in decent condition - being matt black and flimsy most copies are totally trashed. This one is about as good as it gets. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no split seams, no ring wear and no creases. You won't find better. Grades as a very nice shop fresh MINT-!
