Artist: Motorhead
Format: 12” single for the 1979 single “Overkill’ fully signed by the classic Motorhead line up!
Rarity: this is a signed record cover that includes the full line up of the band from the ‘classic period’ of 1976 – 1982, with the following signatures identified:
Band members
· Lemmy Kilmister: vocals, bass guitar
· Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor: drums, percussion
· "Fast" Eddie Clarke: guitars
All have signed in a fine biro-style pens in black & blue inks and graded at 9/10 excellent grading (see photos).
Condition: the grading relates specifically to the outer signed card sleeve, and the poly-lined inner sleeve and 12” vinyl record is not graded, due to the value being within the ‘signed’ outer sleeve. This is a thin card sleeve with moderate rubbing, minor to moderate creasing, and significant edge wear. Cover overall graded as good plus (+) condition. The classic Motorhead design on the front of the cover has experienced some removal of the printed surface aspect at the base of the sleeve (see photos). I have collected many Motorhead sets of autographs over the years, and this is one of the best! The signatures are large, clear and unfaded and this item despite the ‘wear’ will loom amazing mounted, framed, and glazed by its future owner! Signatures graded at a minimum 9/10 and look superb.
Provenance: purchased by me direct Anderson & Garland auctioneers via lot 414 on 01.03.23, and a redacted copy of the invoice will be included within the sale.
