   For sale is Nanci Griffith & The Blue Moon Orchestra's Blue Roses From The Moons, originally released in 1997 by Elektra Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers A-2/B-1, indicating that an early stamper was used to press this first edition. According to the liner notes, the record was mastered by Joe Gastwirt at OceanView Digital Mastering, Los Angeles, California. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. I bought this record new, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The lyric insert is Near Mint. The cover is graded as Excellent because of slight corner blunts and some very small scratches on the front cover. The spine has color loss at the corners from these blunts, along with two very tiny spots along the spine's edge. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint. I'm play grading it as Near Mint. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This is the best copy of this very rare album that I have ever seen or heard. You would be hard pressed to find one in any condition, being that it has become so scarce. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
